Everest University - North Orlando |
From charitable and volunteer efforts to educational initiatives, the staff and students at Everest University’s North Orlando campus are always reaching out to the community residents to have them interact with the campus in a productive and positive way. The North Orlando campus serves three counties: Orange, Seminal and Volusia.
The campus, located behind Home Depot, has spacious classrooms, labs, a student lounge and administrative areas. Additionally, classrooms use SMART Boards™ and modern technology.
Tutoring
Tutoring is available on an individual basis for students in need of help on any subject matter and scheduled group tutoring sessions.
Program Related Initiatives
Throughout the year, various students find ways to both gather experience in their field of study and give back to the community. Several program-related initiatives include:
- Health Care Programs – Students work with Disney Corp. to provide massages during the Disney marathon and also offer health screenings for various community fairs sponsored by Disney.
- Massage Therapy Program – "Knotty to Nice" is where students visit local malls to offer relief to harried shoppers.
- Film and Video Program – Students and faculty participate in the various film festivals in the area.
- Criminal Justice Program – Students and faculty work close with the Orange County Sheriff's Association to experience crime scene investigations with real-life scenarios instead of having to do mock ones. Students also have an opportunity to visit several jails to observe.
High School Initiatives
The North Orlando campus makes every effort to involve high school students in various activities. Student Services team members work closely with the local Boys and Girls Club of Central Florida to provide a positive impact to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.
