At Everest Institute in Silver Spring, Md., located near the District of Columbia, you can receive the training and life skills needed to succeed in various career fields. Classes first began at this Everest Institute campus in January of 2006.
Today, the campus is a safe haven for learning and continually strives for a low drop-out rate and high placement rate.
As a student, Everest wants you to be in an environment that encourages education. For that reason, the Silver Springs campus has four computer labs, three medical labs, eight lecture rooms -- five are equipped with SMART Board Technology -- and a faculty and student lounge. The campus also provides daily tutoring for students.
The Silver Spring campus aims to provide a nurturing environment that promotes character, professionalism and dedication through the Igniter Ambassador program, a student mentoring program. Staff members and students are proud of a unique pinning ceremony, by which students with perfect attendance and/or those who have earned a 4.0 GPA are honored with a special pin that can be proudly worn on their school uniform.
Everest in Silver Springs takes pride in its efforts for continuous improvement and its involvement with the local community. Along with regularly planned activities such as an open house, career fairs and graduation, the campus also sponsors a clinical day, food drive, and occasionally works with local law enforcement agencies to help support awareness against domestic violence.
From the many free tourism sites and museums, to the historic Washington Redskins ball games, there are many interesting events that surround the D.C. area. As you cruise through the nation’s capital, past monuments, the White House, and American icons, you may find yourself taken in by the awe of the historic beauty that surrounds you.
