If you thrive on going the extra mile for people, the Travel and Tourism Program can provide you with the background in business applications, and the practical computer training necessary for you to be successful in the field and compete for employment as a travel professional.
This program combines practical hands-on computer training, along with the necessary theoretical background, in order to experience both the technical and sales skills for a career in travel and tourism. Both Apollo and SABRE, the two main computer reservation systems used in Canadian travel agencies, are taught in our program. Worldwide destinations are studied in all courses throughout the program.
Graduates of this program have gone on to work in all sectors of the travel industry, including: corporate/ leisure retail travel, wholesale travel, airlines, car rental firms, tourist boards, foreign exchange, hotels, and even cruise ships. Positions have ranged from travel consultants and reservations agents, to agency managers and owners, to assistant pursers on cruise ships. Graduates often return to tell us about their own personal travel opportunities and experiences.
