As the construction industry changes and new technologies are discovered, there will be the continuing need to find skilled workers who understand the fundamental principles of carpentry.
In the Carpentry Program, you will be taught the history of carpentry, how to read blueprints, the practice of framing with both wood and metal, constructing stairs, installing windows, doors, countertops, cabinets, and more.
You will also receive hands-on-training in the following areas: Basic Construction Core, Intro to Carpentry, Tools and Building Materials, Reading plans and site layout, Windows and Doors and Exterior Finishes, and more.
Your work will allow you to use a wide array of power and hand tools, and your skills will find you employment, ranging from building houses, erecting skyscrapers, constructing bridges, and building tunnels and highways.
